Default Beating Doppel with weak armour

Ok, I searched the forums for a Doppel guide like this, but I couldn't find one. Just today, I ascended with Lions Arch scars because i'm following the new solo Necro guide that was just put up. I'm a N/Mo but i'm sure you can find a way to apply this to any Necro.

The skills you need are:

Spiteful Spirit (Elite Curse)
Shadow of Fear
Healing Breeze
Bane Signet

Attribute points are as follows:

Blood Magic - 8
Curses - 12 (I have a +1 scar)
Healing prayers - 9

This was done at level 19 without any of the extra attribute quests.

Ok, have your skill bar set up like this:

1: Healing Breeze
2: Shadow of Fear
3: Spiteful Spirit
4: Bane Signet

And all the rest empty.

As soon as you get into the area, cast Healing Breeze. As it's being cast, target Doppel (hit Tab) and then cast Shadow of Fear. As it's being cast, hit 3 to cast Spiteful Spirit. Now, by the time SS has almost finished being cast on Doppel, he should already be shooting you with arrows. If he is, cast Bane Signet to knock him down.

Now, I ran around the arena because some of the arrows seemed to dodge me. Might just be me, but it's worth a try. Just keep running round and casting Healing Breeze until you see SS flash. Start casting SS on Doppel again and Shadow of Fear afterwards. Always make sure Healing Breeze is up.

Also, try and cast Bane Signet whenever you can. The idea of this is to slow down his attacks and damage him without attacking and also to make sure you stay alive. I noticed that just Healing Breeze just on its own and constant attacking from Doppel still killed me.

I don't have many sacrafice spells at all, so it might still be better taking a load of health sacraficing spells but I thought this was a decent alternative. That worked. I'd post screenshots but Imageshack seems to be down for me.

Shadow of fear can only be gotten in the fire islands...

Therefore, Whoever did this would have to first beat THK, then ascend...

Most do it in the other order, and you would be a much bigger attribute to your team if you had better armor in THK...

SS, arrow dodging, and healing breeze and sac spels will get you farther than this IMO, only 1 maintained Hex, and it will increase kill speed.

hmm...I thought doppy had the same stats on his armor as you do...

...and beating it with a necro is freakishly easy since it will do most, if not all, of the work by sacrifcing itself into the ground.

So you were following the 55 necro guide, yet you didn't do the sensible thing which is use it?

I've beaten this guy on my lvl 14/15 monk using nothing but Prot Spirit and stupidly low health (droks tats because i'm actually going to use parts of that armour). If its doing about 1-2 damage a hit (mix n match) you only need the crappiest of things to regen your health to sort out all its damage.

Shadow of Fear can be bought from Yak's Bend. Six, please read the last line. Evil, I wanted to complete most of the missions without being a 55, as I was saving 55 for level 20 when I will start farming. I know the exp it gives is enough to level you a few, but it's a lot better doing the desert missions and not being a 55hp.

Any more? ;D
